Leo Baghdoian

Leo was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 28, 1929. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 1, 1951. Leo served four years 1951-1955, during which, he deployed for one year to the Korean Peninsula in support of the Korean War. Leo's first primary duty station was on Johnson Island, approximately 900 miles southwest of Hawaii. Then he was assigned to Duluth, Minnesota where he finished his enlistment. Upon discharge from active duty, Leo returned to Detroit, Michigan. He then transitioned to be a Department of Army Civilian {DAC) repairing NIKE Missile Anti Aircraft equipment.

In 1967, Leo transferred to Army Missile Command. During this time he was working with Shillelagh, Dragon and Tow anti-tank missiles, their training and maintenance equipment. Working and training maintenance troops and missile users. Promoted up to the managerial position, Leo retired in January 1997 after 46 and a half years. The last 25 of which were spent working and living in Germany. 

Leo currently serves as our first-year post trustee.
